Welcome to Papi’s Vintage Prints — a little shop inspired by one very special French grandfather and his lifelong passion for beauty and design. We inherited his carefully preserved archive of l’Illustration, a French magazine published during the height of the Art Deco era. Through this period, the magazines were emblazoned with striking covers, elegant black-and-white illustrations, and beautifully composed advertisements extolling the freedom and excitement of the 1920s and 1930s.

These images capture a world of style, craftsmanship, innovation, and graphic design that feels both nostalgic and unexpectedly modern. Whether richly coloured or strikingly monochrome, each print carries the style of the time: clean geometry, elegance, hope and a certain confidence of the time.

We have carefully restored selected pages and are offering them as prints to be enjoyed again. Every print in this shop comes from his original collection. This shop is our way of giving those images a new life on the wall and keeping a little piece of his story and his generation alive.
